Philips 42pf5520d/10 picture but no sound when on free view.

Anyone help I have a Philips 42pf5520d/10 plasma tv I get Picture & sound when tv is on Analog but when you change it to Digital for the onboard free view there is picture but no sound? When you first change it to digital picture comes on then you here a click same as when you turn a hifi amp on only it seems to be switching the off not on.
Does the this tv need to be put through a external surround 5.1 amp or should I be getting sound when in digital mode?
please can anyone help?

You should get sound. Either the digital tuner is wacked or the digital main is not processing the packets.
