I have a Dell Laptop Inspiron 8600 and i need to change my bios battery so i would like to know where to find it and how to change it ??

remove the main battery, and in the compartment the battery has come out of....there is a small cover. Release this cover and underneath u will find the battery.

PS. You will find it should be just a case of removing the connector to remove it.

I have been told that the bios battery will not charge while connected to AC power. If your laptop is permanently connected to AC power it may pay to run it on the main battery once a week.
