hi there,
to check the line transformer you need first to get his pinout and with an ohmeter check for continuity in each trap and between traps to find any short circuit. an easy test without any schematic is to check for any short circuit between any transformer pin and the output line (the red one). every pin was to connect internally to other, if you find any pin that has no continuity with nothing your fly is open.
to test the crt you may check for continuity in the tube filament (normaly pins 9 and 10 - but confirm with your tv schematic).
in your place i would check first of all the psu, then the H transistor..
