is updated.
Max from USA have fixed his power supply board (from ViewSonic n3250w 32" LCD TV) by the replacement of N3856VA.
The only trouble is we don't know why it is a failure....

I had asked to Darfon because I wanted know the difference between /C2 and D , but only confirm me that the /D is fully compatible with /C2 but this is normal.
If not the P/N code must be changed.

Also a new P/N may be compatible with an old one.

Could you give the date code of /D board.

I just have received a mail from USA I believe, he has a /E on a 3251
I wait more informations on failure and date code.
N3856VA seems overheated.

Thank you "the hammer"

This PSU may be ok for power but for Standby this should be not ok (12 and 24v still ON) and cables link must be reworked.

About to repair on other way is, on the original board, to disable the 24v section with the failure and use an external PSU with only 24V.

OUR 18 MONTH OLD 3250W QUIT THIS WEEK DUE TO A POWER SUPPLY BOARD FAILURE. I REACHED THE HEAD OFFICE OF VIEWSONIC....NICK AT 800-688-6688 EXT 111 AND HE ADMITTED THE REPLACEMENT PART IS NOT AVAILABLE AND WILL NEVER BE AVAILABLE AS THE COMPANY THAT MAKES THEM IS OUT OF BUSINESS. HE BASICALLY TOLD ME THE TV WAS A THROW AWAY. ANYONE WHO PAID TO ORDER THE NEW PARTS HAS LOST HIS MONEY. DOES ANYONE KNOW A GOOD CLASS ACTION ATTORNEY?

Hello all,

Here some info on the power supply. It is available from the Viewsonic store, Part # is B-00005352 PSU. I ordered two last week and received both at a cost of about $65.00 each.

Good Luck!!!

I have had a viewsonic N3260w for a couple years. It is used maybe 20 hours per week. About 6 months ago, the TV started quite regularly dying after an hour or two of viewing. If I cycle the power button, it comes back on, but will die again after maybe 30 min, then after cycling power button it comes back on then dies after maybe 15 min and so forth. The temperature around the top of the TV is about 90-93 deg F when the problems happen. THere is a startling snapping noise when it sharply quits working.

Reading the group here, it sounds like it definitely could be the power supply module and an attempt to replace it would be worthwhile.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

Thank you,
Roger.

PS Thank you for those that have contributed all the troubleshooting info on this model in this thread. Great work!
