toshiba convergence problem

i replaced the ic's in my 42h81, yesterday but have found no change in the picture quality. nothing changed at all. any suggestions what i should try next?

Is the convergence off or is the picture jagged and tearing?

i think it's just the convergence. the red gun won't move side to side only up and down and the blue gun in the lower right hand corner is sitting at a slight angle. when you push auto focus it runs through it's program displaying the red lines slightly bowing in on the top and bottom on the left and a small wave in the top of the blue, the program ends and states focus error.

i pulled out the board yesterday and replaced both ic's but when i reinstalled the board, the tv came on but with still the same picture.

got it!! it was just a bad resistor. thank-god for a multimeter! woohoo!

If the resistor was bad you need to change the IC's.
