hi im trying to find the right voltage to use to replace smd f5 ive checked smd code book there are five i could choose from is there another way i could work the voltage i need |

It depends on the type of diode you are working with.
SMD applications usually need to be physically the same size due to the solder pad placement or amount of room on the PCB.
A regular diode can be replaced by one that is Faster, higher voltage or higher current/wattage rating. Never go lower or slower.
A zener diode must be replaced with the same voltage. You can use one that is faster or has a higher current/wattage rating. |
