Is there a pattern to the flashing light (e.g. 3 blinks and pause etc.)? |

It is important to know what Chassis type your TV has.
You can find it at the sticker on the back. It can be an MG 2.1 3.1 7.1
or EM2 EM5
In case of a MG2.1 it can be a defective BU 2520DF Line Transistor or you will have to replace the two relais ( black ones ) in the power supply, in combination with transistor 7000 ( BC 337/40)
The EM chassis have many problems and it can be a faulty Line Transistor, Fly-Back transformer and/or almost the complete power supply, FBT and Line- Transistor!
I hope this helps you

there is a 1000 pf 2kv capacitor in the line output stage often breaks down and causes these types of problem... look for the component next to the line output heatsink. If its faulty it will be burned out black. |

You can try replacing the buffer board but it sounds like a bad panel. |
