Model Serial Number Access

If you are doing warranty work on plasma televisions hung on the wall how are you doing at getting the model serial number information.
I am having to send 2 techs out to take the unit off the wall just to get the information

The serial number really depends on the manufacturer of the product and how kind they are to you.....

A lot of devices now have the serial number at the side, but i would always recommend recording the serial number / model before hangning on the wall. Some makes also have this info inside the factory mode but again you would not have access to this information.
