ford focus radio 4600NU -- blows # 31 15 amp fuse-solution

2002 ford focus radio 4600NU

It would blow the 15 amp # 31 fuse as soon as you repaced fuse.Pins 2 and 7 were shorted via diode mounted backside the main connector.Removed top and bottom sheilds and side were the amps screws in heatsink.

couple guesses

!.Protect dode---shorts and blows fuse-protecting radio.
2.usedin a power supply.

I used a 3 amp fast switching dode-soldered.

Working so far.

I am not sure about your specific radio but in general, there is always some sort of diode protection involved.
