Gruntig TV Problem

Hi,

I've been given a Grundig ST 70-775 DPL (CUC 2040 chassis) to repair
which has an odd problem.


After a short time (time is intermittant), the picture will roll
upwards and appear to compress, then the TV will go into standby mode.


Has anyone come across this before, or can offer any advice?

Not familiar with the set, but sounds like a definite problem in vertical circuit.
Too many possibilities.....Perhaps dried out filter capacitor(s) or maybe a thermal problem with vertical output (IC or transistors?). or even loose/cold solder joints.
