I have a Teac Color TV with exactly same problem. The small inductor was o/c but not completely burned up! From the colour bands it looks like 27 uH
I substituted a 33 uH of a larger physical size, boxed up the set and it seems to work just fine. Maybe its a weak point in this model. I post this info for anyone stumbling along the same troubleshooting path !!!!! Cheers

Hi,
The above message is mine. I didn’t read the subject as I read it after a search. I do know the problem is from the same TV.
A fellow wrote me this about the same problem, I don’t know if it’s for the same TEAC TV. “I have just talked to Frank, our TV main technician. He has seen a fault like this on this TV before, and recommends replacing the inductor with a 1ohm fusible resistor.”
Cheers
