Here is the problem I am having. Ligtning strike. TV goes dead. all other electronics on this power strip are fine. Open up the back of the set and trace the power to the fuse, I see voltage, no burnt parts anywhere that I can see, I even removed the power board and looked underneath.
If I leave the TV unplugged for a bit, I can plug it in, and turn it on. However, the tv looks like it needs to be degaussed. When I attempt to turn the TV off, it will not power back up again until I leave it unplugged for a few minutes and then plug it back in. Same issues!

On the plug that has 3 wires leading from the power board to the main board, I have 103volts between pins 1 & 3 and between 2 & 3 I have 118v exactly what I have coming into the plug.
As for the degaussing, I see what looks like a paintball splat on the center of the TV with green, yellow and red. |
