Sony Cmcorder, Model: CCD-TRV89E

Hello,

This Sony Camcorder will not Zoom, focus is OK. Have replaced zoom motor with no effect.

Customer indicated, it would zoom less and less with time until it stopped.

Both zoom and focus is performed from one IC. Don't have remote control to try it out. Zoom toggle switch OK.

Else where this model is listed as similar to:

TRV95, TRV95E, TRV95PK, TRV99 & TRV99E models.


Any tips.

Check all surface mount electrolytic caps... these fail frequently due to heat/age.
