dear all,

Anyone got experience with above DVD player? It blows the 1.6A slow-blow fuse once u plug into mains. No visible burnt components.

This set has auto switching for 110/230v ac. It looks like a switch mode power module.

Fyi, the set hasn't been use for awhile.... in fact, total usage = less than 10 times!

Any help appreciated! Thanks. Smile

Hi!
I agree it's looks like power unit, You should check what
shortcut makes - it may be for example diode or varistore or
switch into primary site of power supply.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Looks like there's more poking around to do... Confused

Anyone else got experience with this or similar set?

Replace the fuse, don't plug it in, put your meter across the pins, start removing parts.
