Sony Projection TV Wont Power On!

I have a Sony Projection TV, KP-51HW40. After a lightening storm, we noticed the tv would not power on. Everything else connected to the tv works fine.

There are no flashing lights indicating what the problem is. Any advice? I called Sony and offcourse they said it needs to be serviced. The TV is 2 years old and I don't feel like spending a couple hundred dollars.

What have you done so far? Check the main power fuse? Do you see any caps that are puffed up or exploded. Any burned components on the boards?
Does the power led flash?

check first if there are short diodes specially the bridge if none, check the switching regulator IC and o/c fusible resistor.
