Mitsubishi 60", no picture but sound is good.

NO PICTURE BUT HAVE SOUND,ON A MITSUBISHI VS 6041 60 INCH WIDESCREEN IT'S ABOUT 10 YEARS OLD. THE PICTURE STARTED TO GO BLACK ON THE LOWER 6 INCHES OF THE SCREEN WHEN TURNED ON FOR THE FIRST COUPLE MINUTES THEN WOULD BE OK. THE LAST TIME IT CAME ON THE SAME WAY AND AFTER A MINUTE OR SO JUST WENT BLACK, BUT I HAVE SOUND ON ALL THE CHANNELS.

Take off the speaker grill. Behind the plate is your screen/focus control. Mark where the screen controls are set turn them up and see if you get squiggly lines. Sounds like your verticle ic took a dump. Normally because the pump up cap is dried out.
