AT&T digital answering machine - how to open

I've go an AT&T 1717 digital answering machine that I need to crack opne (well, not literally). There were two screws under a sticker on the bottom. Those are out. There are four rubber feet but I've pulled those and nothing hiding there.

I'm hoping someone here has seen a similar device and knows where the magic spot is to pop the top off of this thing without shattering he plastic.
