My Panasonic NV-8500 VCR keeps jamming the tape whenever I eject it. It looks like the metal bar next to the capstan on the right side doesn't go all the way, and keeps the tape in that position until it ejects, and the tape gets messed up. It releases the tape when I manually lift the cassette, or I tap on the metal bar.
How should I fix this?-will lubricating the mechanism with light oil help? |
