WE HAVE AN OLD SONY PROJECTOR MODEL VPH 1043QJ. HACC. MADE IN JAPAN. ITS SIZE IS LIKE AN EMPTY CASE OF BOTTLED SOFTDRINKS. THE PROBLEM IS THE THREEE SEPERATE LENSES INFRONT FOR THE COLOR RED, GREEN,AND BLUE WAS BROKEN. FLUIDS COMES OUT IN THIS LENSES. WHAT IS THE FUNCTION OF THIS FLUID? CAN I STILL USE THE PROJECTOR WITHOUT THIS LENSES? WHERE CAN I BUY SIMILAR LENSES? THANKS... |

I think the fluid is to dissipate the heat from the lamp equally over the lenses.
I would be cautious using it.
The lenses will probably crack or the projector may overheat, lamp burn out, etc.
Try to get a new assembly which is probably very expensive. |
