ZE 1230 notebook

I have a ZE 1230 pavilion notebook that I am trying to fix for a customer. The notebook does not post or have any video. It turns on and the fan runs for about 5 seconds and then the fan shuts off. The notebook stays on with all the power lights and etc... . I cannot find a service manual for this thing. I got the fan to run longer once by removing the cmos battery and then putting it back in. Any help is appreciated.
