JVC AV-28GT1SJF - doesn't power on

Hi there,

I have a JVC AV-28GT1SJF which is about two years old, and sadly it has stopped working.

When you try to turn the power on no picture appears. Instead, all you get is (sometimes) the power light going on-off-on-off etc. accompanied by (always) what I can best describe as squeaking noise (not continuous, but regular - best described as "like a mouse squeaking on and off continuously"!)

Any ideas on this? Loath to chuck it out just ...
