Tweaking or reprogramming a DVD camcorder

I am in need of tweaking or reprogramming a DVD camcorder. I don't care what manufacturer is used, I just need to tweak it to my specifications.

When I say tweak, I am not looking to add services or abilities. Rather, I am attempting to simplify the DVD camcorder and minimize the functionality of the unit...not expand upon it.

Any help with a company who could handle it would be truly appreciated.

Or, if I could go directly to a manufacturer so that it is still covered under warranty, that would be great!
