No OSD and menus on Mitsubishi VS-5071

I just replaced the vertical amplifier in a 1993 Mitsubishi VS-5071. The picture looks good now. But I don't have any on screen displays (OSD). So, no channel numbers, volume, etc. are displayed on the screen. Also, a related problem, I can't see any of the setup and convergence menus, when I press the menu button, the screen goes blank. Can anyone point me in the right direction here?

Also, does anyone know where I can get an owners manual? I have a service manual but not the owners manual.
