I have an old rear projection Mits. For some time now the red has been going out completely the it comes back. Picture is great when all three guns are working. I took everything apart and cleaned the unit reseating every connection on every board. The set worked perfect for about four days then the issues returned. The red gun has a glow in the bottom of the tube that stays on even when the red gun is not working. Is this possibly an IC problem or should I look else where? Thanks for any input on this problem.

Take the front of the set off and look for fluid leakage probably from the red tube.

Hi Minnnie,
Thanks much for the quick reply. I looked around inside the set and didn't and didn't see any residue from fluid. I assume that I should be looking around the base of the red tube and on and below the card that is mounted to the bottom of the tube. Correct?

Look on all three boards up front. Usually the middle or right board.

Thanks Minnie,
Just got back into town and had a chance to look inside the set again. I still see no signs of fluid leaking or residue in the set. Any other thoughts? Thanks.
