Hitachi 53swx12b Convergence

After replacing the convergence ICs (STK-392-150) and the resistors in the Hitachi kit, when i try to adjust the convergence and press the blue service button, I only get vertical adjustment lines, no horizontal lines. I also noticed that it is not accepting true adjustment mode because when I press the adjustment keys in the remote control like the PIP button, it actually tries to perform regular TV watching functions
