I have a Hitachi Ultravision 55UX58BA ser# V9D004434. The other night it died & now all it will do is flash a red light for just a second. It will not even do that again until it is unplugged the plugged back in. Any ideas? Worth fixing?

My dad is pretty handy if it were a cold solder joint repair or something of that nature.
