Vizio P50 HDTV 20A

my almost 3 year old plasma has a vertical "red" line on right side of screen. It is not at end of screen, sort of in between end and middle of screen. Anyhow, it is there regardless of what i'm watching., i.e. dvd or tv.

My understanding is that a board has gone bad. Anyone have any ideas how to troubleshoot or know why its getting red line. ( red line is more visible when colors of whatever I'm watching are light. With dark colors, I can't see it)
