Akai 42 in Plasma no sound or video source

I bought an Akai plasma and the thing is in nice shape. It has a few issues though. When I hook video up to the components none of them work, they will say no source unless I use my HDMI cable and then I get a picture (nice pic) but the sound doesnt work at all. This seems like it is the video source board and audio source board (the board that has the connectors on it for the audio/video/HDMI) So I opened the plasma up and inspected the boards, the video had a small resistor bent away (actually a coil) The video board hooks directly up to the audio. The audio board looks good but then again I get no sound. Do you think both board need replacing or just the video and the reason the audio isnt working was directly related to the video board (component hook up board) Or would it be a totally different board all together.
