| so in my previous post i had a high voltage arc from the center crt to the chassis.....upon further inspection i noticed the hv voltage lead to red crt was pulled from the hv splitter...replaced it firmly back into the block and now the arc on the green crt is gone but now i have a very small arc from the red crt tube and it just continuosly ticks...and the power button flashes accordingly....as you can see i love a challenge....any help will be appreciated.... |

RCA always has been and will continue to be junk. Look for 'wet' spots on the board. Coolant leaks. |

| beginning to beleive that...fixed the short on the red crt at the plug..got the set to finally work...NOW a hissing noise from the green crt....grrrrrrr.... |

Don't grrrrr. Cut your loss. CTC169 was crap. I can help you fix it but the money you'll spend is better spent towards a new set. This is a 4X3 set. Not 16X9 nor HD. |
