I am stuck with the task of keeping some old equipment running, including some HPIIP+ which have been working fine all this time. But one of them has developed a weird problem: delayed power-up. After the printer has been power-off for an hour or more, ie cold, when I then turn on the power switch, absolutely nothing happens - no lights, no fan, no sound, no display, nothing. I leave it sit like that, and after a variable interval about 40 to 90 minutes, it spontaneously comes to life, no error message, and then it works just fine. This happens whether or not it is connected to the computer. I have changed the power cord and replaced the main power supply, no change. Anybody ever hear of anything like this before? (Also if anyone knows where I can get a schematic for this old thing I would be grateful!) Thank You! RD2 |
