hip street HS-3007-2gb

I recently invested in a The Hip Street HS-3007-2GB which does not want to turn on, I press power the screen flickers and nothing. Tried pluggin it in to power up and nothing, made sure hold was off. Maybe I am missing something but as a techie I'll take any course of action to fix it before I take it back. Please respond as I really am unhappy about this turn of events. Thank you for your time.
