So i have a 55" rear projection samsung that will not power on. When you plug the tv in, you can hear some clicking and the red timer light on the front panel turns on and stays on. When you go to press power on the set nothing happens. anyone have any ideas on a good place to start? I have messed with tv's a little bit replacing ic's and caps on a few different models for my friends/relatives, but I am stumped on where to begin on my set! Any help would be appreciated!

Check for fluid on the boards, or suspect convergence IC's.

Yea, there is no fluid, it has been sitting for 3 weeks or so. is there a way to check the ic's without replacing them?
thanks for the speedy reply by the way! this forum is awesome just for that! Very Happy

You can check the 3.9 ohm resistors and the pico fuses.
