For the last few days we have had various electronic equipment turn off, two separate computers in two different rooms, a dvd player in another room and a fan in yet another room. This has only happened twice, we don't see it happen but will walk into a room and a particular piece of equipment will be off. We had our local power company come and they checked the voltage on the panel in the garage which they said was perfect. Do we need to have an electrician come out or has anyone heard of anything like this?

How do you know that you haven't had random power outages?

Computers and DVD could be energy-saving power control settings.

Thanks for your replies, it is not random power outages because no clocks are blinking and other equipment on the same power strip(s) have not turned off. As far as the power saving mode in the five years we have had these different pieces of equipment this has never happened before.

Have you tried unplugging them and plugging them back in?
