My laptop won't turn on. If the battery is completely dead, even if the laptop is plugged in via the power cord, will the unit not turn on? I wouldn't think the battery would matter. All I get is a flashing red light instead of the blue light when I try to turn it on.

this is the problem with my hp laptop.. and i am thinking of selling it for surplus since i can't get it to work Sad
