All,

I have recently purchased a used Peugeot 405 and I have the radio code, as provided by the previous owner. This may sound like a very stupid question but the code contains an 8 and a 7 yet the input buttons only range 1 to 6 - So how am I to enter the 8 and 6? The unit is a Peugeot audio 4050.

Cheers,

utopiauk.

Thanks for the fast response, I had a look on the site and found some advice on the Philips units. Essentially they say the same as the book from Peugeot that came with the car, namely inputting the code using the presets / memory keys. Only trouble is they only go up to 6! Maybe I have the wrong code, but googling the problem others seem to have been offered codes for these units containing numbers > 8 that have worked so I'm really not sure. I'll have to check this out.

Thanks again.

I've pulled the radio, it is only marked on the top and bottom. On the top it has the following numbers:

303-0400 (stamped)
96 158 613-80

On the bottom is the following:

Model: PU-9679A (on sticker)
286-7841-01(on sticker)
CL0104S0063220 (stamped)

I have a feeling you're right and it is not a Philips unit - The changer is Clarion so maybe so is the head?

Thanks for your help.
