Vauxhall Siemens VDO 500(E) Code

Hi guys

I have searched this forum and getting a impression that it is hard to get a code for VDO models, is this right?
I have purchased a second hand Siemens VDO CDR500(E) for my Astra.

The details are below;details below;

TYPE CDR 500(E)

Made in Czech Republic
BS000329 RCD302-01

in metal casing it says GM050031925411

If anyone can help me please..

So is it applicable for all VDO models? I thought it would be same as other models, but it seems that VDOs require local dealer or off-line professionals to do.

Could yyou recommend any cheaper way to sort this out pls?

If you have the ability to read the contents of the 24c16 eeprom... and send it to me then I will give you the code...

Unfortunately, I don't have any facility to read eeprom. In the web, there are several internet-based shops are willing to charge £25-£23 and also I found one in ebay would cost £15. But, I am not sure that these will work without physical reading from the stereo.
I will go for local scrapy for a quote and I am sure they are able to do this reasonably cheaper.

You cannot generate the code for ANY ..VDO..models... so dont waste your time ..and money ..It is not hard if you have the contents of the eeprom.. But you will pay at least 30 squid for a second hand one ...then you need it coded aswell ...between a rock and a hard place ..springs to mind ..sorry
