|
|
my dog went behind my tv stand and ripped my surround sound receiver down to the ground. now there is no power. i decided to look at my receipt and it was 3 days after my warranty expired, to make matters worse, i lost my job and now dont have enough money to get it fixed so i was wondering if there was a wayi could troubleshoot it and possibly fix it myself with some help from friendly people! the model is a JVC TH-L1. when i plug it in no power comes on. any help or tips to get started would be greatly appreciated. thanks

| Start by opening it up and look for obvious damage. Fuse rolling around loose, cracked Printed Circuit boards, etc. |

(Sorry about the double post, but contrary to the "You can edit your posts in this forum" in the bottom right quadrant, for some reason I can't.)
By the way: I don't think they would have honored the warranty anyway. JVC's not responsible for physical damages (or dog's actions) to unit. |

| You've disassembled it far enough to see into the dark, obscured corners of say, the Front circuit board? Look at the outside of the cabinet at all eight corners - may point to where to look next. |
