I have this laptop that will make a power adapter make a screeching noise like it will fry it if you leave it plugged in too long. Does this point out to anything that would be a simple fix? Here are some high resolution pictures of the board.

The only moving parts inside a laptop are the fan and the hard drive. Try to isolate the noise to one of those components.

Sometimes if it's a light screeching you are observing it may be due to lose connection of wires which brings about this noise.Else it should not be an easy fix according to me.
