BT In Touch 2000 telephone pendant battery replacement

Hi,

The pendant for the above phone does not work. The pendant is water resistant and not designed to have the battery replaced. BT no longer stock them. Fortunately I have got into said pendant, removed two cell batteries and bought two new ones.

The pcb has various blobs of white glue. I can't see that this glue has leaked in so my question is, is this normal. Seems to be quite a lot. I can post a pic if necessary.

Yes that is normal, put new batteries in and log it on to the phone agin to make sure it is working.
To log it to the phone Hold down the store button for 5 secs and continue to hold, press the pendant and release the phone should show pendant logged, release the store button and job done.

Ended up buying a new pendent from Amazon which worked fine.
