LG plasma on/off trouble

I have an LG 50PC plasma tv. It will not turn on. When the on is pressed it clicks twice and goes back to red on the indicator. I started over a few days, with each daly a few more clicks and I could eventually get it on. Today I clicked forever and it would not come on. Ideas?

A visual examination is usually a good place to start. Look for things out of the ordinary: Foreign objects inside set, puffed lytics, discolored/overheated areas/parts, broken/cracked parts, etc.
