Try searching for the User's Manual. It will contain a wealth of info on how the set is supposed to work, what the lights mean or don't mean, etc. Very Happy

Idea Found the following:

1) C951 = 4.7ufd/250V

2) Suggest changing these caps in standby power supply (near relay) 4.7mf at 250 volt, 1000 at 25 volt, check main cap 220? at 200.

3) Clicks, no power.
Check junction of cathodes, diodes D802/803 for 160Vdc , if there,
check the following resistors, R803, R804, R806, R807, check for 125volts
at pin 4 of Q801, it may be higher, if your horizontal sweep is not working!
Check pin 22 of IC501, MUST have 9vdc, scope pin 17 of IC501 for a
1.5VPP horizontal square wave drive pulse, check collector of Q401, horizontal driver for 73vdc and 185VPP horiz pulse, check base of Q402 for 12 VPP drive pulse. Check condition of Q402, maybe shorted!
