Code required for Peugeot 106 - Clarion PU-9971A Serial Number 0104935

The serial number is stamped on the side of the radio and/or on a sticker on the radio itself. Get the radio out by pushing two 3mm metal rods (drill bits - blunt end) about an inch into the two little holes in the front of the radio.

Have tried all sorts of code calculators etc

5563 - from the little clarion code prog is rubbish cos I can only enter 1 to 5

Had the top off (use a PH1 screwdriver bit) and the solder runs are joined on 8 5 and 2
(useful pic of the circuit board and where to find the soldered links at

found another prog hyundai.rar (supports the PU-9971A) at http://www.eserviceinfo.com/download.php?fileid=1998 which gives 1513 from the solder settings

Just tried it again and it worked! Ace.

Will post this in case it helps anyone.

Cheers

P.S.

The hyundai.rar prog (you'll need WINRAR or similar, and save it - doesnt work OPENing it from the download dialogue) supports the following...

"
Different models with 10 diodes or links,tested on :

Chrysler 5269495,56006932;
Clarion PU-9534,9535,9536,9637,9665,9667,9971,Finish Line;
Hyndai H810,H815,H820,H850

enjoy!

Thank you so very much for this , incredible! I didn't expect it to work as i thought i'd broken my stereo by entering the wrong code too much. I found the code in my service book and it didn't work. I went to the url and downloaded the hyundai rar thing (I am very illiterate at computers, yet i managed it!), then typed winwar to google and downloaded a free trial of that, all free!! Took my radio apart (except one corner where the screw was stuck) and followed your picture. all fairly simple, i am no electrician!!! and now i have music, woo hoo!!! cannot thank you enough, i do love to listen to music while i drive, thank you thank you thank you for sharing your knowledge with the world and giving us music
