I have a 32" wide screen dolby surround sound tv, had a power supply fitted , all was o.k. for a few days then the colour has gone a pinky red,
this can't be altered through the remote on colour contrast etc.any idea's,
model no 32pw633/05 it was left over night and turned on again this morning, it was o.k. then after a while reverted back to the odd colour!

many thanks Wink

Do you have speakers near the tv? If so move them.

I've had a couple of CRTs go down on Philips 32" models. The effect you get on screen is like a reddish hue, and quite often the electronics will get upset about that and actually switch the set back to standby - is this the problem you're talking about?

If it is, sometimes you can improve matters by setting up the VG2 adjustment, but in the end you're really prolonging the inevitable because the CRT itself is faulty.

Other than that, the only thing I can think of is that perhaps some of the service adjustment data has become corrupted and as a result the red has been turned up too much on your TV. If this is the case, you'll need to get into the service menu and take a look at what's going on in there.
