Hi all. I would like to add a composite input to a quite an old Panasonic TC492EU portable tv set that I have. since I dont have the scematic diagram of it - I've searched the web but couldn't find it - could you please reccomend where to connect it? I want it to be able to accept an external video signal.

I'm NOT saying it is NOT "possible," in fact there most likely is a version of that set with the additional circuitry added (by Panasonic).
What I am saying is that without the schematic, less than engineering knowledge by the person doing the modifications, and that most equipment is not isolated from the mains (AC) line - it could quickly become very dangerous.
An separate "RF Modulator" (or old VCR's have one) should accomplish the effect you say you're desiring. _________________ You're over there, I'm over here. |

Not to replicate an echo box, but you would need more than just the connectors and some wire.
This endeavor goes much deeper than that.
Look around on Craigslist for a TV that already has the connection you want or get the RF modulator as mentioned before.
The RF modulator takes the composite feeds you have and makes them RF.
By switching to the appropriate channel (3 or 4 normally) your signal is made available without modification to the TV. A much safer and easier way.
