My daughter just rec'd a philco turntable as a gift. It looks like it is from the 50's. It is in great shape and looks like it just came out of the box with no wear or tear, dust etc. The spare needle is taped inside the cabinet.
My problem is it doesn't sound very good as the sound is very fuzzy with any record. I have checked the needle for dust and pulled one of the speakers to check for dry rot and there is none.
Any suggestions for making it sound better?
We have an awesome electronic repair guy in Richmond, va. : Audio-Visions. Maybe I should take it to him? |
