Hi,

I've a Panasonic 21" TV (model: TX-21ET1M) with a very strange problem:

There seems to be a intermittent vertical foldover line around 1-2" from the bottom of the screen. This line appears to be "moving" (jittering or flickering) and is brighter than the rest of the screen.

This problem popped last nite after the set was on for around 1hr. I've seen it working well in 3-4hrs continous operation! I on it this morning for a short (15min) test run and it worked well again. This makes it rather diffcult to diagnose.. Sad

Any ideas what could be wrong? (Vert. IC? Caps??)

Thanks in adv. Smile

Hi,

More updates...

Last nite, the problem got worst. The screen starts by having the 1-2" foldover after 1hr of operation as described above. Within the next 10-15mins, the screen was squashed from the bottom up; with jittering effect.

I power off the set with remote control & on it again (immediately). The problem went away instantly! I only kept it on for another 20mins without problems.

What could be wrong?? Confused

Hi,

Seems like nobody got experience with this set or problem... Sad

Anyway, here's an update. I've suspected cold or dry joints at vert IC (LA7837) and re-soldered it. It seems to work now. I've on it for longer than 2hrs without any problems. Laughing
