| I have a RCA tv was a ford (found on road dead) got it home replace screen and mirrior fbt fried and took out convg board 1 rest and a micro trans ( i think) repaired board how do I get to the adjustment screen? If you know of a manual that I can down load that would work too. Thank you for your assistance, any advice would be a help... thanks! |

| Thanks for the link... but sears only has the owners man. , and parts I don't need. I would like to find the value of restistor R104u and how to enter and exit the service screens. Thanks again for trying... |

Seemed strange you could handle repair but couldn't get to above - you did NOT specify Customer or Service in your first post.

| Sorry for the confusion ... the tv was built in sep of 97, the service # is P52754atlx2, the chas # is ptk178l2b. I retired from the USAF many years ago, (was computer maint. IBM 360/65), I am by no means a tv tech. As for the repair I got lucky with another res and got close but not close enough. the converg is still off and because of the wrong resister size won't adjust correctly. Thank you again for your help, and advice, the wife will make me trash this set soon if I can't get it fixed then I'll be out of your hair! |

If the resistor you need is for bias on convergence ICs and unit uses two (or more) ICs, both circuits are usually identical. Follow the foil to a "landmark" on bad resistor one, then to equivalent "landmark" to get to the good resistor.

| Thanks for the help... I even got to the adjustments, big mistake went too far on one and lost the menu. Now I can't get back into it. Is there a master reset for the adjustments? |
