did they use the same disk drive on the old ps3 and the new slim ps3? or is the new disk drive slightly smaller? i havent cracked my new ps3 open to check it out yet i was gonna switch the drives since my old ps3 doesnt work i was gonna switch the drives so i can play ps2 games |

PS3 use a 2.5" SATA Laptop hard drive, its pretty much a generic laptop hard drive.
Seagate & Toshiba are used majority of the time. I have seen Hitatchi used in some ps3's. |
