im have an issue with this toshiba 42hl196 set. im getting the infamous 3-BLINK code. i replaced the IC 880 str w6765 and no change in function. if i hold down the power button with it plugged into the wall, i hear the relays kick on and off and thats it |

There's 3 to replace Q880 STRW6765 Q860 STRZ4479 looking for the third. Q820 SRX2039. |

so u think if i replace the other 2, then that should fix it?? do you know of a way to check those IC's before i replace them?? any help is greatly appreciated thank you |

does anyone know how to check the ic's with a multi meter?? ive got my multimeter ready to do some work..... lol |

With meter set to diode test ... NEW (NEVER installed in your unit) and Suspect IC setting on a desktop (NOT installed in unit) ... measuring between any two pins of one (paying attention to which pin, red or black connects to) should result in very similar readings IF BOTH are GOOD. You'll want to be sure to test ALL combinations of pins. _________________ You're over there, I'm over here. |

ya know...... thats exactly what i started to do when i first got the new IC, but i stopped about half way through cuz i wanted to put it in and see if it was gonna work or not....... lol well thats what ill have to do then, thanx 4 the reply. |
