degaussing?

ive been looking around about degaussing and have a basic knowledge and understanding of it....

i have a red streak across my philips rear projection tv.....but it doesnt look like what i would expect magnet damage would do to a tv with a tube(yes i know a projection tv doesnt have a tube).....the discoloration is a one color very defined streak.....

one of my questions is.. does a rear projection need degaussing?.... i used the magnet drill technique at the screen and bhind the tv where the projector bulbs are..no results

my next question is..what else could it be?

sir my qustion is .philips tv model no k11 is not making high volte .i chaked out put transister and suupply and base bising . pleac help me
